Current & Upcoming Exhibitions

We met Nino Mier during 2024, having been introduced to him by artist Lucienne O’Mara.  They visited the studio and Nino was particularly struck by the early work of Bert’s that we are still in the process of cataloguing and conserving.  Nino was enthusiastic about  showing this period of work whilst at the same time advising us on what we should aim to keep in the archive for the longer term - always a great sign in a gallerist.  He was also very aware of our need for a strategic plan regarding preparation and framing of the work and was happy to help us with this.  After we all visited Nino’s Brussels gallery in March, there was no doubt  that this would be a great opportunity for us.  The gallery has the feel of a Victorian house and is very reminiscent of Bert and Betty’s home - ironically where Bert painted all the works selected for the Brussels show.

Nino has placed the works exactly as Bert would have liked - with lots of white space around them.  We know he would be very happy with this show and would love Nino and the team in Brussels.
